Quality Policy

Driven by the Ministry of Health’s role in advancing public health services and promoting health through proactive prevention, within the framework of effective policies, legislation, and local, regional, and international partnerships and in alignment with its vision of “A healthy society enjoying comprehensive, sustainable, and health-promoting preventive care” the Ministry is committed to excellence and quality in all its operations and services.
In line with Bahrain’s Vision, the Government Action Plan, the National Health Plan, and the Sustainable Development Goals, the Ministry of Health dedicates its efforts to achieving the following:

  • Enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided in accordance with national and international standards.
  • Achieving patient and beneficiary satisfaction by delivering safe and effective healthcare
  • Strengthening patient safety by implementing effective risk management systems.
  • Developing healthcare professionals through continuous training and by fostering a culture of quality and excellence in performance.
  • Improving institutional and individual performance.
  • Supporting innovation and digital transformation in healthcare services to facilitate access.
  • Promoting transparency and accountability in service delivery and ensuring sustainability in performance.

The Ministry of Health is committed to implementing the requirements of the Quality Management System, fulfilling customer, legal, and regulatory requirements, and continuously improving the effectiveness of the Quality Management System to ensure the achievement of its strategic goals.

Accordingly, top management is responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System and taking the necessary actions to ensure ongoing development.
