Indications: mild to moderate pain and inflammation in rheumatic disease (including juvenile idiopathic arthritis) and other musculoskeletal disorders; dysmenorrhoea; acute gout. Cautions: Same as for other NSAIDs; breast-feeding. Dose: 550 mg initially, then 275 mg 6-8 hourly when necessary, preferably after food. (275 mg sodium salt = 250 mg naproxen but the salt has a more rapid action). |
